Your special day

With the octagonal hall as its centrepiece, our complex provides a great venue which can accommodate approximately 150 seated guests with a centre dance floor area or a top table section.

The Centre can be set up as you desire to allow for more or fewer guests and can be adjusted between afternoon and evening.
The large raised stage area is available for discos, bands or any other entertainment you wish to hire.  If you prefer, the curtains can be drawn to reduce the size of the area.
We have a full length, fully stocked bar for your guests to purchase a variety of hot and cold, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. This will be open during your event, fully staffed, unless you state otherwise.  Please note that it is not the policy of The Community Centre to permit guests to supply their own beverages.
Tables and chairs are included in all of our hire prices however, in addition to this you can hire lycra chair covers with a matching sash to bring your colour scheme and decorations together.
We can manage all of your catering needs to ensure you have a stress-free event, so you can concentrate on enjoying yourself with your guests on your special day. 

Our flexible arrangement allows you to choose how you want the venue to look, and you can add the finishing touches yourself if you wish.

  • hire of main hall (with a good sized side lounge as an optional extra)
  • licensed bar and friendly professional staff
  • kitchen equipment and food preparation areas
  • round & oval tables seating 10-12 guests each
  • stage with sound system (great for disco/background music)
  • variable lighting 
  • support staff throughout event
  • ample free parking with easy access to the hall entrance
  • access to the Deben Lounge (plus licensed bar/music)

In addition we can arrange:
  • specific table linen, crockery, cutlery & glasses to fit with your theme
  • flowers (from local supplier)
  • decorative drapes
  • chair covers (to your requirements)
  • live band or disco
