Terms & Conditions
- Membership will commence from the date of payment for either the following month/year. It is the responsibility of each member to renew their membership either online or directly with us along with your full payment. Reminders will be emailed to you before your membership expires where you have supplied us with an up to date email address.
- Gold membership for couples or families will only be available to persons living within the same household. Membership can not be extended to friends or family outside of the lead person's main address.
- As a member, you will be required to book in for any classes or courts that you would like to attend/use and check in on arrival.
- You do not need to pre book gym sessions (other than youth gym), but if you use the gym you should check in at reception first.
- Gym members are not required to carry out an induction for the gym, however, if you feel you would like one before you start using the gym, please let us know and we will arrange this for you.
- Debenham Sports and Leisure and their instructors assume no liability for persons who undertake physical activity. Anyone in any doubt should consult their GP prior to physical activity.
- Before using the gym or attending a class, you must read and sign a copy of a health ParQ statement to confirm you understand and agree with our terms. This will only be required once as details will be kept on record. Occasional periodic updates may be required.
- The shower and changing facilities at Debenham Sports and Leisure are available for members only. No additional family members can use them unless they have their own membership. Breach of this can lead to termination of your membership.
- Debenham Sports and Leisure Gym is for the use of over 16's only. Youth Gym members can access the gym during term time in the allocated 'youth gym session' times. Access is also allowed for youth gym members over 11 years old with a parent or guardian gym member who is over 21 years old.
- You do not have to be a member to attend a fitness class or hire a court. You will just need to be set up as a 'customer' and create a 'log-in' on our booking site to access the booking system. On our booking system you will be able to book classes and courts and pay for them directly using our online payment system; Stripe.
- A cancellation can be made up to 7 hours in advance of the class/court hire start time. If a cancellation is made after this time, no refund will be given or credited to your account. This cancellation policy includes Debenham Sports and Leisure classes only. Some of the classes are privately run by external instructors who may have their own cancellation policies. Please check with individual instructors or Reception.
- A gold member can cancel a class up to 7 hours in advance of the class/ court hire start time. If a cancellation is made after this time or the member does not show, it will be recorded on their personal profile. A member can cancel or no-show up to 3 times within 28 days from their first cancellation. A further cancellation or no-show will result in a £6.10 fine per class/court.
- A 'junior court' booking can be made for either a mix of under 16's hiring the court or an adult and child combination hiring the court. If all members of the group booking are over 16 years old, then a regular court hire price occurs.
- Bookings for classes can now be made 8 days in advance from 9am either online, by telephone or in person, but please be aware that staff can not take any bookings before the 8 day window.
- By providing your contact details, you grant Debenham Sports and Leisure the right to contact you via phone and email. You will be contacted via social media accounts where you have made contact with us in the first instance.
- Debenham Sports and Leisure holds no liability for loss or damage to any personal items or valuables on their premises, including car parking.
- Debenham Sports and Leisure cannot be held responsible for any service or facility being unavailable for reasons outside of our control.
- You are required to inform Debenham Sports and Leisure of any change of address, email address, telephone numbers or any other method of communication. Email will be the preferred method of communication and all correspondence will be assumed to have been read five days after the email has been sent to the last address notified.
- By providing an email address, you consent to receiving email communication. You also accept that email may not be a secure and confidential means of communication. Debenham Sports and Leisure will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of communicating with you by email.
- By providing a mobile telephone number you consent to receiving text communication. You also accept that texts may not be a secure and confidential means of communication. Debenham Sports and Leisure will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of communicating with you by text message.
- Privacy and data protection; Debenham Sports and Leisure takes the protection of your data seriously. All records are retained on computerised systems.
- Your personal data will only be used by Debenham Sports and Leisure employees in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. The Centre will not supply information from the database to any third party organisation or individual except to the extent permitted by the Data Protection Act 2018 and which is required or permitted by law in carrying out its proper function.
- By agreeing to have your personal data held on the Debenham Sports and Leisure database, you are expressly consenting to Debenham Sports and Leisure processing the data for proper purposes as pursuant to the Data Protection Act 2018.

- Under the Data Protection Act 2018 you can request access to your personal data using our subject access form which is available on request.
- We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms that is caused by any event that is outside of our reasonable control.
- Debenham Sports and Leisure reserves the right to take photographs within the facilities (which may include you, provided your inclusion is accidental) for press and promotional purposes provided the Centre gives reasonable notice.
- All personal data will be stored on 'Clubright', our online booking system.
