Frequently Asked Questions - Wedding Celebrations
What is your cancellation policy?
In the event of a cancellation, any monies paid in addition to the initial 30% deposit, will be refunded at the discretion of the Events team.
The 30% deposit is non refundable.
Does your venue have disabled facilities?
Yes, we do. We have disabled bay parking close to the entrance and disabled toilet facilities. There is level access in to the entrance and within the venue (except up to the stage).
Is there parking available?
We have a large carpark available at the front of the venue, including parking for disabled guests. Where needed, we are able to also use our overflow carparking to the rear of the venue.
Can guests camp at your premises?
Unfortunately there is no on site camping facilities available. However, we are happy to share local guest accommodation details, which you may like to circulate with your invitations.
Are dogs permitted within the venue?
We can allow guide dogs within the Community Centre, but are unable to allow other dogs on the premises for functions.
Can we set up the day before?
We know that there are a million and one things to organise right before the big day, and so being able to decorate the venue and set it out as you wish is a big tick on the 'to do list' if you can complete it early. Providing we have no other function booked in the night before, you are welcome to set up in your own time the day before. We make a small charge of £100 for this. We recommend mentioning an early set up at your initial visit with the events team so that we can check availability and avoid disappointment.
Are you licensed for Civil Ceremonies?
We are not licensed for marriages or civil partnership ceremonies to take place on site. However, you are welcome to.
For more information on ceremonies, we encourage you to look at Suffolk County Council's Registrars Service website, as there are lots of useful pointers and support.
